Last report before closing day in IKF EKC’14 (Day 8)

Maia’s IKF EKC 2014 is nearly over. After today’s games, tomorrow (Sunday, October 2nd), the last games are going to be played and we will know the new European Korfball Champion.

This is the schedule:

11:00 Hungary – Poland (for 7th & 8th position)
13:00 Russia – Czech Republic (for 5th & 6th place)
15:00 Portugal – England (for 3rd & 4th place)
17:00 Netherlands – Belgium (for 1st & 2nd place)

Sixth day of competition in Maia’s IKF EKC 2014. Today thursday, October 30th, all four games were played in Sports Hall 1. Four matches with one special game between SLOVAKIA and TURKEY, fighting for the “EUROPEAN BOWL” trophy. SLOVAKIA won in a very tight game and he received after the match its award.

Also both CATALONIA and GERMANY classified for the next World Championship and will play the game for the 9th-10th position.

Worldkorfball.org problem in IKF EKC solved

We are sorry we had to inform you earlier today the worldkorfball.org website was not up to date. We had a synchronisation problem. The technicians were working to solve this issue. In the late afternoon they managed to restore the greatest part of the connection between PC’s and database behind the website. As soon as the connection was up the database was brought up to date. All today’s matches are visible for you.

The live web casting is working properly on the ikfchannel on You Tube.

Saturday 25 October 2014 the IKF European Korfball Championship (IKF EKC) starts. Web casting is part of the media approach. The IKF will stream the matches to the ikfchannel on YouTube.

Korfball promo trip in South America

The korfball promo trip in South America is a huge success. The cooperation between IKF and KNKV contributes to the goals of spreading korfball over the world. Both in Brazil and Argentina the group of trainers and players received a lot of attention and was part in many succesful training sessions. Many students had their first experiences with korfball.
