Overview of the IKF Approved synthetic korfs plus manufacturers including the unique supplier and mould numbers.

While during practice a korfball player, club, or school may use any korf he likes, in any match which is governed by the Official Playing Rules, only IKF APPROVED synthetic korfs may be used. The IKF Approved korfs can be recognized by the IKF logo, the Approval number of the supplier and/or the words "IKF Approved” on the korf.

Currently, only three (3) providers have received IKF Approval for their synthetic korfs, namely Korbizz BV, Balans Sport BV and Jeku Sport, all from the Netherlands.

The korfs by Korbizz have been designated official supplier to IKF events. In IKF events, therefore, only korfs of Korbizz can be used.

Korbizz is selling through a variety of distributors, including korfballstore.com and eilerssport.nl.

The IKF is asking all affiliated national organizations to inform their clubs and competition officials and ensure that only IKF Approved korfs are used.

What does IKF approval entail?

The IKF approval procedure tests the functionality of new yellow korfs. This especially pertains to the dimensions and stiffness or bouncing behavior of the korfs. See also the Appendix in the IKF Korf Regulations.

The IKF approval procedure does not test the quality of the korfs, nor its lifetime expectancy. It is up to the suppliers to provide warrantees to guarantee the quality and durability of the korf.

Approved synthetic korf suppliers:

Note that Korbizz has been designated official supplier of all IKF events. At IKF events, only korfs produced by Korbizz can be used.
