Nomads clinched third spot by beating Mitcham 14 – 11, a remarkable performance by a team that was promoted from the Regional League at the end of last season. In the final Trojans retained the trophy by beating Nottingham 20 – 14. However, Nottingham’s second place was the highest place ever reached by a team from outside the London/Kent area.
